COMPANION HEALTH PLANS:

Our goal at Alta Mesa

Animal Hospital is to not just get your pet back to health during an illness, but to also strive to keep your loved one healthy and prevent disease as your pet ages.   In an effort to realize this goal, we have implemented our NEW companion health plans which all include comprehensive preventative medical care throughout the year.  Our plans are not an insurance policy, but rather a full package of all the best health care for your pet throughout the year.  All of our available health plans enable you to provide the absolute best care for your pet.

Commonly Asked Questions:

1.  What type of pet should be on the health plan?
Ideally, all pets should be on a preventative health plan.  Remember the goal is to maintain health and avoid having to react after an illness has occurred.  Therefore, our health plans are important for all breeds, ages, species, and sexes.

2.  How do I know if I should enroll my pet in a health plan? If your goal is to provide the best most optimal care for your pet than I would encourage you to enroll in the plan.

3. I’m already providing the best preventative care for my pet so why should I enroll on the plan? Our question would be why shouldn’t you enroll in the plan?  If your pet is already receiving regular physical exams, needed vaccines, heartworm/tick fever/lyme testing, fecal exams and more, than they should be enrolled  on the health plan so that you will receive a discount on not only the health care you are already providing, but also on all other veterinary services your pet may need.  Additionally,  you will receive regular reminders for the needed care and examinations which will help you keep your pet on the ideal health schedule.

4.  How much do they cost and how are they to be paid?
We provide a very 3 different levels of health plans as outlined below.  Each plan ensure that your pet receive the ideal care that we feel is optimal for your pet, bet level 2 and level 3 have additional services included which are outlined below. Each plan has a different cost and each can be paid for monthly ( Monthly payment made via electronic funds transfer from an active checking or saving account  ) or payment can be made in full at the time of enrollment.  Our puppy and kitten plans are slightly different and are divided into 3 payments over the first 3 visits.  For more specifics on pricing and availability I encourage you to schedule an examination for your pet.  When you decide to enroll the initial exam will be included within the plan package.

Talk, touch, and eye contact are all forms of rewards to your dog. Add them to behaviors you want to increase and remove them from behaviors you want to discourage.
